RadioTime President Dan Halyburton is among the 2010 honorees from the Country Music Radio Hall of Fame in Nashville.  He has been honored for a 39 year radio career that has included stops at WWOK/Miami, WTVR/Richmond, WTCR/Huntington, WFMS/Indianapolis, WDGY/Minneapolis, WQAM/Miami, and KPLX/KLIF/Dallas.  He spent 25 years at Susquehanna’s KPLX/KLIF in Dallas before heading to Emmis in New York in 2006.

Along with Dan, Cy Blumenthal and Michael Hammond will be honored by the Country Music Radio Hall of Fame on February 23rd.  Also, on that day, the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame will induct Bill Bailey, Laurie DeYoung, and Rudy Fernandez.

On Tuesday, Bon Jovi stops by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.  The band’s live performance begins at 6 AM Eastern.

On Wednesday, former Philadelphia Phillies Larry Bowa and Ricky Bottalico get fans ready for Game 5 of the World Series.  They’ll be co-hosting shows on WPEN from 10 AM – 2 PM Eastern.  WPEN’s pregame coverage for Game 5 begins at 7 PM with postgame coverage beginning at approximately midnight.

On Thursday, BBC Radio 6 airs a concert from Jethro Tull, recorded at Hammersmith Odeon in 1984 at 7:30 PM Eastern

On Friday, Phoenix visits WXPN’s World Cafe at 2 PM Eastern.

With the Nationwide Series having the week off, the Sprint Cup Series takes center stage as the Motor Racing Network (MRN) hosts live coverage of the Amp Energy 500 on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. (ET). It does not appear that the Inside Track pre-race show will air this week.

RadioTime celebrates Halloween this weekend with “Halloween Haunts.” The channel features links to Halloween music and Halloween radio dramas.

Listeners can tune into a stream of Orson Welles’ original “War of the Worlds” broadcast from 1938.  Also, WMPG in Portland, Maine will air a live Halloween-themed radio drama on Saturday night.

In addition, WWOZ presents live coverage of the Voodoo Music Festival all weekend from New Orleans.  They’ll have live performances from Papa Grows Funk, George Clinton, Trombone Shorty, and others.

On Monday, “The Nightmare of a Halloween Week” begins on “Nights with Alice Cooper.”  The show airs at 7 PM Eastern on WILZ.

On Tuesday, World Series fever starts to heat up in Philadelphia when the all-time hit king, Pete Rose, hosts his own show on WPEN-FM.  The show starts at 10 AM Eastern.

On Wednesday, the baseball theme continues as WXPN gets you ready for Game 1 of the World Series when The Baseball Project visits World Cafe.  The show begins at 2 PM Eastern.

On Thursday, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe is the guest on WFUV’s “Words and Music from Studio A” at 9 PM Eastern.

On Friday, WXPN welcomes Mike Doughty as the guest for their “Free at Noon” concert series.  Doughty performs live at 12 PM Eastern.

The Motor Racing Network (MRN) starts off the weekend with coverage of the Nationwide Series’ Kroger On Track for the Cure 250 on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (ET). That race takes place at Memphis Motorsports Park.
