Description
You wish to allow your users to find specific radio content by entering free-form text, like a station name or call sign.
Solution
Both of our APIs support text search. Search terms match against multiple fields with intelligent ordering and filtering of results. OPML allows you to specify specific fields (otherwise known as an “advanced” search), while OpenMedia does not.
Considerations
Our search is always an “AND” – if you specify multiple words, all of them must match.
By default the searches will not return items that are not playable. OPML supports an override to turn this filtering off.
