Record Streaming Radio with Windows 7

windows7

Windows 7 is fast and beautiful, but it breaks radio recording utilities. Fortunately the current RedButton is fully compatible.

RedButton is a great TiVo for Radio desktop solution that ads pause and scheduled recording to RadioTime’s program guide. The desktop tuner and pause features are free. Recording is still a low-low one-time $29 fee (warning – a price raise is coming soon). Finished recordings automatically synch with your iPhone or Touch.

Bill, are there any issues/concerns/pre-planning steps that Vista users need to know before they upgrade a PC with RedButton to Windows 7? Thanks! Mike

Mike, save your finished recordings, by default under My Music/RadioTime.

Otherwise just re-install RedButton then enter your RadioTime username and password. Your recording schedule is saved on the service.

Depending on when you installed RedButton your Presets may be local settings and you’ll need to re-create them.

That’s good to know. Will it work on the 64bit version though?
