RadioTime Highlights for the week of August 10, 2009

On Monday, Bela Fleck and Toumani Diabate visit the KEXP studios.  They will be performing live at 9 PM Eastern.

On Tuesday, Andy Fraser and Simon Kirke of Free take over the Planet Rock studios.  They’ll be playing their favorite music as part of “My Planet Rocks.” The show begins at 1 PM Eastern.

On Wednesday, Absolute Radio looks back at the career of U2.  “Discover…  U2″ airs at 6 PM Eastern.

On Thursday, BBC Radio 6 airs episode 2 of “Joe Strummer’s London Calling.” The show looks back at Strummer’s stint as a DJ for BBC World Service.  It begins at 7 PM Eastern.

On Friday, “World Cafe” on WXPN celebrates the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.  Listeners will hear from Bob Weir, Wavy Gravy, Arlo Guthrie, and more.  “World Cafe” airs at 2 PM Eastern.
